In this position, you will develop and operate modern AI solutions for productive internal applications. You will combine software engineering, data science, and the use of state-of-the-art AI tools to implement scalable and practical solutions. You will work on both traditional ML applications and GenAI use cases (e.g., assistant systems, automation, agentic workflows) and reliably bring them into production.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of production-ready AI applications (machine learning, GenAI, LLM-based systems)
Transition of models into scalable, production systems (end-to-end: from exploration to deployment)
Design and integration of AI services, APIs, and workflows into existing system landscapes
Conceptualization and implementation of modern AI architectures (e.g., RAG, feature pipelines, model orchestration)
Implementation of end-to-end solutions on Azure and Databricks (data, models, deployment)
Development and operation of data and model pipelines (training, inference, monitoring)
Use and integration of modern AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, LLM platforms)
Ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability of solutions
Close collaboration with business units to identify and implement AI use cases
Your profile:
Degree in computer science, data science, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in developing and implementing AI/ML solutions, including LLMs and generative AI
Strong programming skills (especially Python)
Practical experience in building and deploying RAG systems and agentic AI
Experience with Azure and Databricks
Ability to independently design and technically implement AI use cases
Excellent German and English language skills

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade - adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is 4.300 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
