Responsibilities:
Anton Paar UAE is expanding its team and is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support financial operations. Based in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, you will manage daily accounting activities, support reporting and compliance, and contribute to the continued growth and efficiency of our finance function.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Accountant to strengthen our finance and administration team. This role is essential in supporting accurate financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and contributing to the scalability and efficiency of internal processes.
Based in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, the Junior Accountant will report to the Administration and Finance Manager and collaborate closely with internal teams, while also acting as a key interface to external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and tax agents.
Core Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Perform daily accounting entries and postings in accordance with company policies
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including follow-up on overdue invoices
Handle bank payment transactions and reconcile bank statements
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Expense & Car Fleet Management
Manage petty cash and employee expense claims, ensuring proper allocation to cost centers
Provide support in car fleet management activities and other related administrative tasks.
Financial Monitoring & Reporting
Support the preparation of cash flow statements and reports
Assist in generating periodic financial statements and management reports
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data within accounting systems
Assets & Payroll Coordination
Support fixed asset accounting, including asset creation
Act as an interface to external payroll providers
Closing & Compliance
Perform monthly closing activities and reconciliations
Support audit processes and preparation of tax returns
Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and legal representatives
Coordinate with Anton Paar headquarters where required for financial alignment
Process & System Compliance
Maintain accurate data in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP)
Ensure adherence to Anton Paar financial policies and procedures
Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
Organizational Responsibilities
Report directly to the Administration and Finance Manager and support the growing finance and administration function
Contribute to the development and optimization of financial processes as the organization expands
Ensure compliance with Anton Paar's global standards and local UAE regulations
Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data
Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational efficiency
Your profile: Education & Experience
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field
Fresh graduates or candidates with 0-2 years of experience are welcome to apply
Technical Skills
Familiarity with accounting systems (preferably SAP) is advantageous
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations in the GCC is advantageous

Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work independently within a small team environment
