To strengthen our Service Team within the Measurement Division in France, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) - North-East France Territory. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-level technical support both on-site and remotely.
Location: Based in North-East France with regular regional travel.
Responsibilities:
Joining our Measurement Service Team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring the optimal performance of our instruments. In line with Anton Paar's standards and procedures, your responsibilities will include :
Technical Support & Field Service
Provide technical support to customers via phone and email
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities both on-site and in the workshop
Diagnose faulty instruments and prepare repair quotations
Plan and carry out preventive maintenance in accordance with company standards and procedures
Perform factory calibrations, including ISO 17025 calibrations when required
Service Administration & Quality Assurance
Record and update service activities, reports, and corrective actions within the CRM system
Ensure service tools and instruments are available, compliant, and maintained in good working condition
Manage spare parts inventory, including both service stock and personal stock
Collaboration & Internal Support
Work closely with internal teams, including Applications, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Administration
Identify and communicate equipment replacement or upgrade opportunities to the Sales team
Participate in technical training programs covering Anton Paar product lines
Provide telephone support according to the internal service schedule
Occasionally support and provide backup for other Field Service Engineers across France
Your profile:
Associate's degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field
Minimum of 3 years' experience in customer support, maintenance, or repair of technical equipment
Proven experience working directly with customers
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Excellent customer service mindset and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, for technical documentation and internal communication
Valid driver's license
Must be based within the North-East France territory
