Design Engineer Plastic Components (f/m/x)

As an expert in plastic components, you will independently develop concept and detailed designs for plastic parts and components. You will work closely with Product Management and Industrial Design and take responsibility for technical coordination with suppliers.



Responsibilities:
  • Design plastic components and injection-molded parts with a strong focus on manufacturability
  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Design and translate design requirements into technically feasible solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assessments
  • Handle technical clarification and coordination with suppliers


Your profile:
  • Experience in selecting suitable plastic materials and a solid understanding of their properties
  • Experience with manufacturing processes for plastic components, particularly injection molding and structural foam molding
  • Experience with CAD design; SolidWorks and/or Creo experience is an advantage
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and small-batch production of plastic components
  • Strong team player with flexibility and a high level of quality awareness
  • Excellent spatial visualization skills and a passion for designing and optimizing both new and existing products
