Responsibilities:
We're looking for a Technical Sales Representative for Laboratory Instruments to join our dynamic sales team in Mexico City, Mexico. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to laboratory professionals and research institutions, combining technical expertise with consultative selling to drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs, demonstrating complex laboratory equipment, and closing sales while building long-term relationships with key accounts in the region.
Identify, prospect, and qualify potential customers within assigned territory, focusing on research institutions, hospitals, and analytical laboratories
Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations, explaining complex laboratory instrumentation features and benefits to non-technical and technical audiences
Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate laboratory solutions tailored to their specific applications and workflows
Develop and execute account management strategies to maximize customer retention and expand existing accounts
Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer specifications
Collaborate with the technical support and engineering teams to troubleshoot customer issues and provide timely solutions
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities using CRM systems
Stay current with industry trends, competitive products, and regulatory requirements affecting laboratory instrumentation
Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining profitability margins
Provide feedback to product management regarding customer needs and market opportunities
Your profile:
3+ years of sales experience in technical or scientific equipment, preferably in laboratory instrumentation or life sciences
Strong technical knowledge of laboratory instruments, analytical equipment, or scientific methodologies
Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Excellent consultative selling skills with a customer-focused approach
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to analyze customer needs and develop customized solutions
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred
Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Industry certifications related to laboratory equipment, life sciences, or analytical chemistry
Experience with specific laboratory instrument manufacturers or product lines
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (ISO, FDA, or similar)
Previous experience in a technical support or field service role
Familiarity with laboratory workflows and scientific research environments
