As the Director of Product Lines, you'll own the commercial and strategic success of the Anton Paar QuantaTec product portfolio. You will lead the functions that connect market needs, product development, sales execution, and customer success to drive sustained revenue growth and market leadership in analytical instrumentation.
This position sits at the center of the organization, translating market insight into product strategy while ensuring successful commercialization across global markets. A Snapshot of What You'll Do
The Director, Product Management & Analytical Instrumentation Product Lines is responsible for the economic success of Anton Paar QuantaTec's products and product-related activities.
You will lead and empower the Product Management, Customer Support, and Product Competence teams to achieve:
Revenue growth and market share expansion
High customer satisfaction and retention
Successful product launches and lifecycle management
You will own the intersection of portfolio strategy, pricing, sales alignment, and product innovation. The Impact You'll Make Product Portfolio & Strategy
Lead the strategic planning and definition of the product portfolio roadmap
Translate market feedback into engineering requirements for new product development and improvements to existing products
Participate in development projects to ensure new products meet market needs
Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities that drive future sales growth
Identify potential M&A targets through market and competitive analysis
Support company leadership in driving overall strategic direction
Commercial Ownership & Sales Alignment
Responsible for sales of the full Anton Paar QuantaTec product portfolio
Propose and monitor the sales budget in coordination with global sales organizations
Initiate strategies and measures to increase sales and market share
Define pricing for products, accessories, and services (annual and special pricing)
Interface with end customers and the global sales organization
Plan, monitor, and oversee execution of product launches to ensure successful market introduction
Marketing & Market Development
Formulate the overall marketing plan in alignment with Corporate Marketing and Communications
Define and develop strategic partnerships with customers and technology partners
Leadership & Organizational Impact
Provide leadership and direction to all customer-facing departments to ensure excellent technical and application support
Lead and empower Product Management, Customer Support, and Product Competence functions
Manage product-related budgets, pricing, quality, and cost to maximize profitability and market share
Engage cross-functionally to drive successful initiatives across the organization
This role requires up to 25% domestic and international travel. Education & Experience
This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, business leadership, and product management experience.
Required:
Experience in international product management or sales of analytical instrumentation
Experience managing teams
Analytical and structured work style with high initiative
Exposure to business management concepts
Strong sales acumen, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, or related field
MBA or Master's in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline

This role directs several departments, oversees multiple projects, engages cross-functional teams and supports the executive leadership.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, observe, communicate and handle items such as computers, machinery and other equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Position requires the ability to obtain a Passport for international travel.
