As Product Manager for the "MetaStation" and "AbsorptoMeter" torque rheometers, you will play a key role in the success and future of our company. You will be responsible for increasing sales and contribution margins, as well as improving product quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Product overall responsibility: You are responsible for the economic success of the assigned product portfolio, increase sales and maximize contribution margins, improve product quality and profitability, increase customer satisfaction and ensure technical reliability and superiority over the competition
Market strategy and portfolio planning: Market monitoring, competitive analysis and strategic planning of the product portfolio in coordination with the product line manager
Innovation leadership and product development: Development of business cases, collaboration with the research and development department, definition of requirements for product improvements and new products, acceptance of series products from development projects
Pricing strategy and sales support: Setting prices and value tiers, planning product launches and supporting sales on business trips, participating in trade fairs and conferences
Development and implementation of marketing materials: Development of sales, marketing and customer documents such as brochures, presentations and websites
Training and customer care: Conducting sales trainings, supporting key customers, product presentations, application webinars
Coordination and knowledge transfer: Create and coordinate E-learnings for products, share knowledge with sales teams and external distribution partners in the form of trainings and webinars
Budget monitoring: Monitoring the sales budgets, planning the marketing budget
Your profile:
Completed degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, process engineering), as well as additionally industrial engineering, business administration, or marketing
Basic technical understanding of computer-aided design and development processes (CAD and component sizing)
Basic understanding of common processing processes such as extrusion and injection molding
Several years of experience in product management, ideally an international environment is an advantage
Knowledge in market monitoring and business development, ideally in the field of measuring instrument technology
Familiarity with research and development project projects and ROI calculations
Very good communication and presentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset
Experience working with strategically important customers
Willingness to travel worldwide for trade fairs and customer visits
Confident use of MS Office; knowledge of Jira and Confluence is desirable
Fluent German and English skills in speaking and writing
