In our assembly lines, measuring instruments are assembled, undergo final testing, and are prepared for shipment. As a Production Planning Specialist, you ensure the optimal balance between resource utilization, on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
In this role, you act as the key interface between Sales, Assembly, and Manufacturing. You plan and coordinate production orders, manage the workload of assembly teams, and ensure the timely delivery of our products.
Responsibilities:
Perform technical feasibility checks of customer orders and coordinate delivery scheduling, including the assignment of delivery dates
Take responsibility for production planning and control, ensuring the timely and capacity-aligned scheduling of manufacturing orders
Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments to ensure efficient material availability and production supply
Define production quantities, delivery schedules, and batch sizes in alignment with production targets and business requirements
Prepare demand forecasts and coordinate planning activities with the respective product divisions
Ensure timely, transparent, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Develop and implement measures to improve production efficiency and optimize inventory levels, lead times, and costs
Support continuous improvement initiatives within production planning and production control processes
Manage the transfer of new products and projects from development into serial production, ensuring a smooth production ramp-up
Maintain, create, and continuously update production-related master data within the ERP system
Your profile:
Completed technical or commercial education (e.g., apprenticeship, technical college (HTL), university of applied sciences (FH), or equivalent) with a focus on Production, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Professional experience in production planning, scheduling, or a comparable role is considered an advantage
Proficient in SAP, particularly the PP (Production Planning) and MM (Materials Management) modules, as well as advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
Strong analytical and structured working style combined with excellent organizational skills
Solution-oriented mindset, a systematic approach to work, and a high degree of personal responsibility
Hands-on mentality, proactive attitude, and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment
