Team Lead Work Preparation Machining (f/m/x)

Efficient production planning and control forms the foundation for smooth and on-time manufacturing processes. For our Production Planning and Control department, we are looking for a dedicated team leader who will contribute their technical expertise to the planning, preparation, and control of our production processes while leading a team both technically and organizationally. With their expertise and structured approach, they play a key role in ensuring our high quality standards as well as efficient and reliable manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Active involvement in the creation, maintenance, and optimization of work schedules, manufacturing documents, and production processes, as well as the planning, preparation, and control of production orders
Feasibility checks, calculations, and evaluations of production times and manufacturing costs
Coordination and ongoing alignment of production planning with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality assurance
Review and preparation of customer orders and technical documents for manufacturing
Monitoring manufacturing progress, as well as early identification and resolution of deadline and capacity bottlenecks
Analysis and optimization of existing processes with the goal of reducing lead times and increasing productivity
Professional and organizational leadership of the team
Your profile:
Completed technical education (HTL, master craftsman/Meister, vocational technical school/Fachschule, or degree), ideally in machining or mechanical engineering
Several years of professional experience in work preparation, production planning, or manufacturing control in a metal-processing company
Sound knowledge of machining technology and materials science
Experience in functional leadership or willingness to take responsibility for a team
Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and confident handling of MS Office
Strong technical understanding combined with a solution-oriented and cost-conscious mindset
High level of commitment and flexibility in a dynamic production environment
Team player skills and strong communication abilities

This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in the metal industry. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications; for this position, it typically starts at 3.416 gross per month (excluding overtime).
